  • Why do some men spend months choosing a single fabric?

Because they’re not looking for the perfect suit.

I once had a client who spent nearly four months selecting a fabric. Not because he couldn’t decide, but because he was comparing.

How it paired with his favorite watch.

How it looked alongside the shoes he had worn for years.

How the color changed in the morning light, at midday, and in the evening.

How naturally it belonged in the atmosphere of his office.

That’s when I realized: for some people, a suit is never just clothing.

It’s an extension of their character, their habits, and their way of life.

When someone chooses with intention, they’re not buying fabric.

They’re choosing how they want to present themselves every single day.

If you believe true style begins with the details, you’re in the right place.

Follow for more insights into the world of premium fabrics, and feel free to leave your questions in the comments or send me a DM.

😇I’ll be happy to help you find the fabric that truly reflects you.

  • 👔 Some premium shirting fabrics spend more time in finishing than in weaving.
That’s why two shirts labeled 100% cotton can feel completely different.

Most people look at the fiber content. But for textile experts, that’s only the beginning.

True quality starts with long-staple cotton. Its longer fibers produce a finer, stronger and silkier yarn.

But even the finest raw material won’t reach its full potential without exceptional finishing.

Mercerization, multiple washing stages, fabric stabilization, and other finishing processes require time, expertise, and significant investment from the mill.

The result is a fabric that:
• feels smoother and softer against the skin;
• develops a refined natural luster;
• holds its shape better;
• retains deeper, richer colors;
• continues to look beautiful after repeated washing.

That’s why two shirts made from 100% cotton can offer completely different wearing experiences.

The real difference isn’t written on the label—it’s built into the fabric.

❓When choosing a shirt, what matters most to you: the fabric, the fit, the brand, or the price? Let me know in the comments.

  • PICK OF THE WEEK 7

Some fabrics are chosen.

Others simply choose their owner.

This week, our clients were drawn to shades of Mediterranean mornings, quiet elegance and timeless sophistication.

The blue of a summer sky over Capri.

The softness of ivory linen touched by sunlight.

The confidence of deep navy tailoring.

The richness of chocolate brown woven into a perfectly cut jacket.

The freshness of fine shirting stripes.

The subtle charm of sage green.

And the effortless refinement of a checked Italian cloth made for long lunches, private clubs and weekends by the sea.

For her — silk that moves like air.

For him — tailoring that speaks without raising its voice.

For both — fabrics that never belong to a season.

Only to style.

  • 🧵 Two Letters. One Fiber. Can You Guess It?

On fabric swatches, garment labels, and mill catalogues, you’ll often spot abbreviations like SE, WO, WS, CO, or LI.

✨ To textile professionals, this is a universal language.

For everyone else, it’s the fastest way to understand a fabric’s quality, character, and value — before you even touch it.

🌿 The natural fibers worth knowing:

▫️ SE — Silk
✨ Lightweight, luminous, and famous for the way it drapes.

▫️ WO — Wool
🐑 Warm, breathable, and naturally resistant to creasing.

▫️ WS — Cashmere
🤍 One of the world’s most prized natural fibers. Exceptionally soft, lightweight, and incredibly warm.

▫️ CO — Cotton
☁️ Comfortable, breathable, and perfect for everyday wear.

▫️ LI — Linen
🌾 Summer’s best friend. Cool to the touch and effortless to wear.

▫️ WP — Alpaca
🦙 Exceptionally warm, soft, and remarkably durable.

▫️ WM — Mohair
✨ From the Angora goat. Known for its silky sheen and airy lightness.

▫️ WA — Angora
🤍 From the Angora rabbit. Delicate, incredibly soft, and exceptionally warm.

📖 You’ll also come across:

▫️ VI — Viscose — soft touch and fluid drape

▫️ EA — Elastane — stretch and freedom of movement

▫️ PA — Polyamide — added strength and durability

▫️ PL — Polyester — shape retention and longevity

💡 Once you can read these two letters, you’ll never look at a fabric label the same way again.

📌 Save this guide for future reference.

📤 Share it with someone who appreciates quality fabrics.

💬 Which fiber is your favorite?

  • 🌿 When Nature Creates the Colour

Most fabrics are woven first and dyed later.

But some of the world’s most exceptional fabrics begin differently. Their shades already exist in nature — hidden within rare wool, alpaca, and other extraordinary fibres.

That is what makes them so special.

Unlike conventional fabrics, these natural tones cannot be perfectly replicated. Each batch carries its own depth, character, and individuality.

✨ True luxury isn’t about adding beauty. It’s about preserving it.

In some cases, traditional plant-based dyes such as indigo, madder root, and other natural extracts are used to enhance selected shades. These centuries-old techniques are making a remarkable return as a symbol of conscious craftsmanship and modern luxury.

Why do fabric connoisseurs appreciate these collections?

✔️ Naturally unique colours
✔️ Rich texture and depth
✔️ Carefully selected natural fibres
✔️ Limited and exclusive production
✔️ A meaningful story behind every cloth

These fabrics are chosen for jackets, suits, and coats that transcend seasonal trends and remain timeless for years to come.

Because the finest luxury is never loud.

It is found in the origin of the fibre, the quality of the raw material, and the craftsmanship woven into every thread.

📖 More photos, videos, and details of the collection can be found on our SmugMug.

❗️For additional information about the fabrics or the manufacturer, feel free to send us a Direct Message.

❓Which would you choose — a naturally coloured suit or a timeless overcoat?

  • 360 years of history — and Vitale Barberis Canonico celebrates this milestone the way only Italians know how: through colour.

Not merely a collection, but a chromatic manifesto.

RAINBOW — a world exclusive created for Drapers. Crafted from Super 130’s Twill wool, 250g, this collection transforms the full spectrum of colour into the language of tailoring. From understated sophistication to bold, unforgettable shades, each fabric carries its own personality, mood, and presence.

Vitale Barberis Canonico describes it with characteristic Italian confidence:

“Elegant and comfortable suits which never go unobserved.”

And they are right.

These are fabrics for those who understand that style is not about following trends, but expressing character. For those who choose colour with intention. For those who appreciate the quiet authority of impeccable cloth and the subtle luxury of centuries-old craftsmanship.

100% wool. All-season. Super 130’s Twill. Article RP-350.

Because true elegance is never dictated by the calendar — only by the person wearing it.

  • PICK OF THE WEEK
Issue №6

Every Friday — the fabrics our clients actually chose.

This week: six of the most coveted cloths in the world.

Vicuña Peru — Cashmere & Vicuña. The rarest natural blend that exists. Warm camel gold, brushed to a finish that feels like nothing else.

Scabal Noble Diamond — Super 200’s & Silk with real diamond fragments. Navy. Made in England. The pinnacle of what suiting cloth can be.

Scabal Pure Silk — midnight navy and ivory cream. Two weights of silence, woven.

Ariston Luxury Elastik — deep aubergine, Super 140’s, Italian. For the man who wears colour like a signature.

Doppio Ritorto Diamond 130’s — tonal wave stripe in navy. Invisible pattern until the light catches it.

These are not fabrics for everyone.
They are fabrics for those who already know the difference.

  • Solaro is the only cloth in history born from a mistake and turned into a legend.

In 1907, a British physician created it to protect soldiers from tropical sun. The theory failed. The cloth survived.

Two layers. Khaki face, red reverse. In movement and light — an iridescence no photograph can capture. You have to see it in person.

Which is why Agnelli wore it without a tie and without explanation.

Solaro by Vitale Barberis Canonico is now at BUKLÉ, Riga.

PICK OF THE WEEK 7

Which one would you choose?

PICK OF THE WEEK 7

Some fabrics are chosen.

Others simply choose their owner.

This week, our clients were drawn to shades of Mediterranean mornings, quiet elegance and timeless sophistication.

The blue of a summer sky over Capri.

The softness of ivory linen touched by sunlight.

The confidence of deep navy tailoring.

The richness of chocolate brown woven into a perfectly cut jacket.

The freshness of fine shirting stripes.

The subtle charm of sage green.

🧵 Two Letters. 🌿 The natural fibers worth knowing: ▫️ SE — Silk ✨ Lightweight, luminous, and famous for the way it drapes. ▫️ WO — Wool 🐑 Warm, breathable, and naturally resistant to creasing. ▫️ WS — Cashmere 🤍 One of the world’s most prized natural fibers. Exceptionally soft, lightweight, and incredibly warm. ▫️ CO — Cotton ☁️ Comfortable, breathable, and perfect for everyday wear. ▫️ LI — Linen 🌾 Summer’s best friend. Cool to the touch and effortless to wear. ▫️ WP — Alpaca 🦙 Exceptionally warm, soft, and remarkably durable. ▫️ WM — Mohair ✨ From the Angora goat. Known for its silky sheen and airy lightness. ▫️ WA — Angora 🤍 From the Angora rabbit. Delicate, incredibly soft, and exceptionally warm. 📖 You’ll also come across: ▫️ VI — Viscose — soft touch and fluid drape ▫️ EA — Elastane — stretch and freedom of movement ▫️ PA — Polyamide — added strength and durability ▫️ PL — Polyester — shape retention and longevity 💡 Once you can read these two letters, you’ll never look at a fabric label the same way again. 📌 Save this guide for future reference. 📤 Share it with someone who appreciates quality fabrics. 💬 Which fiber is your favorite? ————————————————————————— #bukle_fabrics_shop #fabricguide #fabriclover #luxuryfabrics #cashmere

🌿 When Nature Creates the Colour

Scabal Noble Diamond — Super 200’s & Silk with real diamond fragments. Navy. Made in England. The pinnacle of what suiting cloth can be.

Scabal Pure Silk — midnight navy and ivory cream. Two weights of silence, woven.

Ariston Luxury Elastik — deep aubergine, Super 140’s, Italian. For the man who wears colour like a signature.

Doppio Ritorto Diamond 130’s — tonal wave stripe in navy. Invisible pattern until the light catches it.

Solaro is the only cloth in history born from a mistake and turned into a legend.
